| dc.description.abstract | The main aim of this paper is to design a Robust controller based on Internal Model Control (IMC) for a Load Frequency control (LFC) problem in a Single Area Power System (SPS). A power system is susceptible to load changes, parameter uncertainties and various non-linearities. These problems are getting more significant as the power system becomes more interconnected and complex. An enhanced IMC (2P-IMC) is employed to improve performance and robustness. The proposed control method is simple and applied to SPS. The performance of the proposed 2P-IMC is compared with the IMC designed PID. All the digital simulations and modeling of a SPS is carried out in MATLAB. | en_US |
