Abstract: A novel SVPWM algorithm for 5 level flying capacitor multilevel inverter topology has been presented in this paper. The algorithm is based on vector mapping technique which can easily determine the location of reference vector, calculate ON-times, select the switching sequence and can be extended to n-levels. This PWM scheme employs a single carrier wave and multiple modulating waves. The proposed algorithm is simulated using MATLAB/ Simulink environment and and the results are presented
