| dc.description.abstract | A facile synthesis of 1,3,4-thiadiazine-5-yl-pyran-2-one derivatives is achieved via a three-component reac-tion involving 3-(2-bromoacetyl)-4-hydroxy-6-methyl-2H-pyran-2-one, thiocarbohydrazide with variouscarbonyl compounds in one-pot under stirring. The main advantage of this procedure is the short reactiontime, high yields, simple workup, and purification of products by non-chromatographic methods, i.e. bysimple recrystallization from ethanol.
