A Trial Design of High performance concrete using Taguchi Method of Experimentation

Abstract

The high performance concrete (HpC) is a rather recent and sustainable development in concrete material lech_ nology and can be defined as 'the concrete which meets special performance and uniformity requirements that cannot always be achieved roulinely by using only con_ ventional materials, normal mixing, placing, compacting nd curing practices'. The need for durability of strucfures in severe environment, time of construction, energy ab_ sorpti ir and retrofitting jobs has resulted in the HpC.
