Abstract: This article explores the numerical solution of mixed convection heat transfer in incompressible viscous fluid past a vertical porous plate with variable suction/injection considering Joule heating, Hall and Ion slip effects. The model for the flow in the porous medium is characterized by the Darcy-Forchheimer model. The governing equations are first transformed into a dimensionless form by the local similarity transformations and then solved numerically using the shooting method. The approach of a nondimensional distance along the plate, which is varied between 0 and 1, is considered to analyze a characteristic feature of the present investigation, where similarity solutions cannot be obtained. The influence of pertinent parameters on the flow characteristics is analyzed and depicted graphically.
