Abstract: This paper in the mainly focuses on different interleavers used in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and Interleave-Division-Multiple-Access (IDMA) system. An efficient Modified Random Based Interleaver is proposed which is simple and could produce orthogonal interleavers for generating user specific chip level interleavers for different users. The projected methodology reduces the computational complexity, memory requirement problem and also reduces the number of data exchanges between the base station (BS) and also the mobile station (MS). The simulation results are presented to indicate that the proposed Modified Random Based Interleaver gives better performance as compared to Master random Interleaver and Tree Based Interleaver in OFDM-IDMA system.
