Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM) is a multi-carrier modulation scheme proposed for the next generation (5G) wireless systems. Trading orthogonality for Inter Symbol Interference (ISI) and Inter Carrier Interference (ICI) control it provides a structure with better usability for a variety of future wireless requirements. In this paper the exact Symbol Error Rate (SER) expressions of GFDM in Nakagami-m and Rician fading channels are analytically derived. A GFDM tranceiver is also simulated and the results are compared with the analytic expressions.en_US
