| Abstract: | The Power system disturbances like harmonics creates lot of power quality problems need to be analyzed with better tools. A simple technique is presented in this paper for impedance load modelling of nonlinear electric domestic loads like Television set (TV). In this paper, the application of Kalman filtering algorithm is used for harmonic estimation and nonlinear load impedance modelling for validation of the algorithm. This technique is used to identifying the harmonics present in the signal as well as calculate the admittance or impedance in order to model the system to know the behavior of the system during the presence of harmonics. The previous methods like FFT, Wavelet transform and S-transform techniques are used to analyze the harmonics by using entire signal, but the proposed technique uses directly by taking one cycle samples of the voltage and current waveforms. It has been shown, that the proposed algorithm is validated with the PSCAD/EMTDC models and experimental results. |
