A series of novel fused tetrazolylbenzo[h]chromenes 3a–f, 4a–f and 5a– f were prepared starting from 2-amino-benzo[h]chromene-3-carbonitrile 1a–f. All structures of the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by IR, NMR, mass spectral studies, and elemental analyses. The newly synthesized compounds were screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activity. Some of the derivatives have exhibited promising biological activity.en_US
