| Abstract: | The syntheses of 1, 2-diphenyl-6-methyl-8-oxo-8H-furo-[2, 3—h] (1) benzopyran, 2, 3-diphenyl-5-methyl-7-oxo-7H-furo [2, 3-g] (1) benzopyran and 1, 2-diphenyl-4-methyl-6-oxo-6H-furo [2, 3-f] (1) benzopyran are described, and uv and it data of the compounds reported. The compounds were found to be devoid of anti-implantation activity when tested on albino rats |
