dc.description.abstractMercaptocoumarinoxazoles and coumarins derivatives have been found to possess a wide range of medicinal and commercial importance. In continuation of our earlier work on the synthesis of mercaptooxazoles fused at (7,8)t, (6,7)n, (5,6)6 and(3,4) 6 positions of coumarin derivatives which are found -to be associated with appreciable biologicalactivities7, we now report the synthesis of 2-mercapto-4,8-dimethylpyran o13,2-f I benzoxazol-6 (H) - one derivatives (2 and 3).en_US
