Abstract: In this paper, a new single-stage transformerless cascaded differential boost single-phase PV inverter for grid-tied applications is proposed. It is the cascading of boost converter and buck-boost converter with sharing of two switches. The output voltage is the differential voltage obtained between the two converters. The proposed converter eliminates the need of output f ilter. The proposed converter have reduced number of devices compared with existing topologies. The principle of operation, its analysis and design procedure are discussed. Further, the theoretical analysis is validated with simulation results for 500 Woutput
